What the papers say Chelsea are leading the race to sign Sergio Aguero, who wants to stay in England once his time at Manchester City ends, according to the Mail. Stamford Bridge bosses wanted to bring the Argentina striker to west London in 2011 when he played for Atletico Madrid and the paper says the Blues are one of the few who could afford him. But the 32-year-old is also being courted by Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris St Germain.

The Daily Express says City have made signing a new centre-forward their top priority, with Aguero out of contract at the end of the season and unlikely to commit to a new deal. Southampton striker Ings is also expected to leave Saints in the summer and should be a much cheaper alternative to City’s original target, Erling Haaland.

The Italian website says while Real manager Zinedine Zidane said “maybe” when asked if the 36-year-old could be returning to Madrid, club president Florentino Perez is more interested in Paris St Germain star Kylian Mbappe. With financial clout and Champions League credentials heavily influential in any Ronaldo move, this would leave United as the most logical option, Tuttosport says, though staying put at Juve remains Ronaldo’s most likely path.
