Fire engines called to North-east primary school


Fire engines were called to a primary school. Two appliances were sent to Finzean School after a smell of smoke was reported. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service could not yet confirm if the situation was an emergency. A spokeswoman confirmed it was a false alarm caused by a faulty light.


Emergency after car blaze in North-east


Fire crews have been called to a car blaze in the North-east tonight. It happened at 6.45pm on Davidson Place in St Cyrus. Nobody is understood to have been injured. One Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliance from Inverbervie has been called.


Emergency after fire at a house near North-east school


Crews have been called to a house fire near a North-east school. It happened at about midday at a property on Logie Road near Tipperty Primary School. Two Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliances from Ellon and Aberdeen were called. A spokeswoman said: “The fire happened inside the house.”  


Firefighters rescue woman stuck in Aberdeen bathroom after lock breaks


Firefighters rescued a woman stuck in her bathroom in Aberdeen this morning. The incident happened at a house in the Clifton Road area of the city at 5.50am. One Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliance from North Anderson Drive was called. The lock on the woman’s bathroom door broke while she was in, meaning she was locked inside.


Farm equipment catches fire near North-east road


A baler has caught fire by the side of a rural North-east road. The fire service were alerted to the blaze on the back road between Kingswells and Clinterty just before 12.30pm. A total of nine firefighters have been sent to put out the fire.
