Three new sculptures will be erected in Elgin by the end of the year in a project funded by the Castle to Cathedral to Cashmere to help spark the imagination of those who live, work and visit this area. 760 people responded to the consultation to select sculptures which will conjure up scenes from the past, tell unseen stories and bring the heritage of Elgin to life.

Fund set to pay for grass cutting


The grass will finally be cut in three prominent parts of a north-east town following a local authority’s controversial decision to strip back the service in public places.

Council launches free lunch video at north-east nursery


A council has released a video explaining funded nursery lunches. From August 2020, children in an early learning and childcare setting over lunchtime are entitled to a meal funded by the Scottish Government. The Moray Council video, of Seafield Nursery in Elgin, can be viewed at
