What the papers say Manchester United have reportedly been offered Paris St Germain star Neymar  in a straight swap for Paul Pogba. The Independent says the deal for the 27-year-old Brazil forward was proposed to the Red Devils, but refused on the basis it was too expensive for United to justify. Pogba, 26, is said to be keen to leave Old Trafford for Real Madrid but the Frenchman is also interested in Juventus and PSG.

What the papers say Embattled star Gareth Bale has no chance of transferring from Real Madrid to Bayern Munich, the 29-year-old’s agent has reportedly said.  Jonathan Barnett told Sky Sports “obviously, Gareth’s situation at Real hasn’t improved,” in comments carried by the Daily Mirror. And he acknowledged the Welshman and former Tottenham forward “could fit” in as part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s revitalisation of Manchester United.  “I think he could do very well – he is still one of the best players in the world, but it is very unlikely,” Barnett said.

But former Blues star Lampard is the bookies’ favourite to take the reins at his old club. Chelsea are understood to have agreed on a compensation deal worth in excess of £5million for their Italian boss to join Juventus after just one season at Stamford Bridge.
