Lorry and car crash on North-east road

A lorry and a car have crashed on a North-east road. The incident happened on the A937 between Laurencekirk and Maryculter at 2.10pm. Police and ambulance crews have been called to the collision at the south entrance to Laurencekirk. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We don’t believe anyone has been seriously injured.”

Police confirm missing North-east man found ‘safe’

A North-east man who was missing for three days has been traced ‘safe and well’. Police had been appealing for information on the whereabouts of Fynn Leavey, 25, who had been missing from Laurencekirk. However, officers confirmed today that the 25-year-old had been traced safe and well.

Drugs worth almost £80,000 seized from car on A90 in North-east

Drugs worth almost £80,000 have been seized from a car on the A90 in the North-east. The recovery was made yesterday after the car was stopped north of Laurencekirk. Drugs worth £78,000 were discovered in the vehicle. A 31-year-old man was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today in relation to the alleged incident.

A90 partially blocked after one-vehicle crash

One lane of the A90 is blocked after a three-vehicle crash. The vehicles collided on the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road at Laurencekirk at around 6.50pm. A Police Scotland spokesman said no one has been seriously injured in the crash. He added: “One lane is blocked.”
