Snow gates shut on north-east road

The snow gates on a north-east road were shut today. The gates were closed at both ends on the A957 Cairn O’Mount road between Banchory and Fettercairn this morning. However, Police Scotland confirmed the road reopened at around 2.30pm

North-east road closed due to jackknifed lorry

18/12/2015

A ROAD was closed this morning due to a jackknifed lorry. The incident happened just after 6am on the B974 Banchory to Fettercairn road. Both lanes of the route were blocked. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “The road was fully closed because the lorry was covering both lanes.” The road reopened shortly before 10.30am.
