Man taken to hospital after one-car crash


A north-east road was closed following a one-vehicle crash. Police were called to the A944 Dunecht to Alford road at 1.35pm. A force spokesman said the male driver of the car was taken to hospital for assessment. “The road was closed to allow for cleaning,” he added.

North-east road reopens after overturned horsebox causes traffic disruption


An overturned horsebox temporarily blocked a north-east road this morning. The vehicle toppled over on the B977 Kintore to Dunecht Road near to Burnside. Motorists were asked to use alternative routes as the road was forced to close for around an hour to allow for recovery. Police attended but have now left the scene.

North-east man denies driving dangerously


Miles Burnett is accused of driving at excessive speeds for the conditions and overtaking another vehicle in a built-up area on approach to a traffic island, disregarding a “keep left” sign.

The number of reported serious casualties  in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray fell compared to the previous year.

Car lands on its roof on North-east road


Emergency services have been called after a car landed on its roof on a North-east road. The incident was reported just after 5pm on the B977 Kintore to Dunecht Road. Two fire appliances from Inverurie have been called but nobody was trapped in the car.

North-east road cleared after one-vehicle crash


A North-east road has been cleared after a one-vehicle crash today. The vehicle crashed on the B977 Kintore to Dunecht road, near Dunecht, shortly before 5.30pm. The road was blocked after the incident, but police have confirmed it is now clear. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said no one was injured in the incident.
