What the papers say N’Golo Kante and Emerson Palmieri are targets for their former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri at Juventus, the Daily Express reports. Sarri is keen to lure France midfielder Kante, and Italy defender Palmieri, as he looks to strengthen his side. Sarri will have a battle on his hands, however. Kante is considered ‘un-transferrable’ by Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, while Palmeiri is in talks for a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

What the papers say Inter Milan are waiting in the wings to scoop up Christian Eriksen if the Dane continues to delay signing a new deal with Tottenham, according to the Daily Express. The midfielder had been viewed as likely to leave Spurs during the summer and was expected to end up at Real Madrid after saying he “might want to try something new”. No deal was finalised before the European transfer window closed and Eriksen has stalled on signing a new contract with Tottenham. The Express reports new Inter manager Antonio Conte wants to bring the 27-year-old to the Serie A when pre-contract negotiations become a possibility in the first month of 2020. The Dane’s current deal ends next summer.

What the papers say Juventus have agreed to a £69million deal for Argentina forward Paulo Dybala to join Tottenham, the Daily Mail reports. A potential agreement between the Italian giants and Manchester United fell through, paving the way for Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino to swoop in for the 25-year-old talent. But the deal is not done yet, with the paper saying Dybala wants more money than Tottenham’s current top earner Harry Kane.

The fee would be a club record, surpassing the £45million they paid for Gylfi Sigurdsson in 2017. The paper claims the Toffees are prepared to go as high as £70million if they end up in a bidding war.
