Dundee United remain three points clear at the top of the Ladbrokes Championship after a decisive 3-0 defeat of Inverness.
The Terrors claimed the lead in the 20th minute when Lawrence Shankland found Paul McMullan positioned just wide of the box.
McMullan then fired a cross towards the goal, with the ball inadvertently deflected into the back of the net after a failed clearance from Inverness’ Shaun Rooney.
Nicky Clark doubled the lead for Dundee in the 72nd minute, connecting with a Calum Butcher cross and putting the ball away from close range.
Minutes later Liam Smith was taken down in the box, handing the leaders a chance to put the game to bed as a penalty was awarded.
Shankland stepped forward and duly converted the opportunity, sealing a 3-0 victory for Robbie Neilson’s side.
