Hearts have recalled three youngsters to join their winter training camp in Spain.
Dario Zanatta, Harry Paton and Marcus Godinho have rejoined the Jambos following loan spells at Raith, Stenhousemuir and Berwick respectively.
The trio will travel to Spain to join up with the first-team squad for a five-day warm weather camp, which will include two friendlies, but could head back out on loan later in the window.
Andrew Irving, who will also join the camp, has extended his loan stay at Berwick while Callumn Morrison has returned to Tynecastle from Stirling Albion but is unable to link up with the squad due to injury.
Manager Craig Levein has already showed a willingness to throw his youngsters into the first team, with 16-year-olds Harry Cochrane and Anthony McDonald impressing.
The Hearts boss told the club’s website: “We’ve brought some of our loan players back to the club so we can assess them and see how they’ve progressed.
“Some will travel to Spain with us so it will be useful to see them first hand in training and in the friendly matches.
“It may be that a few of them go back out on loan later in the month, but we’ll make that call in due course.”
