Inih Effiong bagged a brace as Dover beat 10-man Stockport 2-0 at Edgeley Park to leapfrog their hosts in the table.
The hosts started strongly but were dealt a blow seven minutes before the break when Paul Turnbull was shown a red card for a foul on Effiong.
Dover made the most of their numerical advantage, opening the scoring four minutes into the second half when Effiong found the bottom corner.
Stockport came close to levelling things up when Kevin Lokko diverted Adam Thomas’ cross onto the inside of the post but it somehow stayed out.
Effiong made it 2-0 to Dover 10 minutes before the end when he scored on the rebound after his initial effort had been kept out.
