Ryan Dow and Kevin Nisbet fired Dunfermline to a third straight win at East End Park as Queen of the South fell to a 2-0 Ladbrokes Championship defeat.
Dunfermline dominated the first half, with Lee Ashcroft firing Andy Ryan’s cross over the bar before Nisbet blasted over from a Josh Edwards pass. On the half-hour mark, Ross McCrorie denied Ryan.
Stephen Dobbie carved out Queens’ first chance after the break, a snapshot that fizzed just wide, yet it was Dunfermline who opened the scoring as Dow tucked away Greg Kiltie’s assist in the 57th minute.
McCrorie was able to collect as Edwards came sniffing for the Pars’ second, which eventually came in the 82nd minute as Nisbet reached five goals for the season with a strike into the bottom left corner.
