Accrington winger Jordan Clark is hoping to prove his fitness for the visit of Southend in Sky Bet League One.
Clark has missed Stanley’s last two matches with a hamstring injury but manager John Coleman has said the 26-year-old will not be rushed.
Coleman is also without his other main strike winger in Sean McConville, who is out for the remainder of the season after Achilles surgery.
Accrington have no other fresh injuries and Coleman is continuing to look for potential new additions during this month’s transfer window.
Struggling Southend, who have won just once all season, have no new injury concerns.
Striker Simon Cox has now left the club after being granted a release to take up an opportunity with Australian side Western Sydney Wanderers.
Midfielder Luke Hyam remains a doubt with a hamstring injury.
Defenders Harry Lennon (broken leg), Joe Shaughnessy (knee) and Nathan Ralph (shoulder) are long-term absentees.
