Snapchat has a created a special edition Bitmoji Lens to help fans get in the spirit of the Champions League Final, where users can have their avatar pose with the European Cup.
The augmented reality lens will show a user’s Bitmoji playing keepie-uppie and lifting the Champions League trophy, while the competition’s familiar anthem plays in the background.
Snapchat users will be able to access the lens, available from Saturday, by selecting it from the in-app lens carousel menu, with content able to be recorded and shared with friends.
The social media service is expecting a busy time during the final, revealing that on the day of last year’s final between Real Madrid and Juventus, more than 1.2 billion Snaps featuring lens or filters were shared.
The platform said on average football fans were 48% more active than other Snapchat users during the 2017 final.
The app has more than 191 million monthly active users.
