FORMER MSP Tommy Sheridan believes 60% of the electorate will vote for independence in the upcoming referendum.
Mr Sheridan spoke to the Evening Express on a visit to Aberdeen or his speaking tour, Hope Over Fear.
The socialist campaigner made his case for an independent socialist Scotland to a crowd at the Copthorne Hotel last night.
Mr Sheridan said: “I’m very confident that the yes vote can win and I think the result will be 60% yes to 40% no.
“The whole tour has been amazing and positive.
“I have been trying to promote the message that we have nothing to fear from an independent Scotland and everything to gain.”
