A MAJOR show of pedal power has taken place in Aberdeen.
Around 150 people gathered at Aberdeen City Council’s headquarters as part of a national safety push.
At Marischal College, they were met by councillors from a range of parties.
Aberdeen Cycle Forum chairwoman Jyll Skinner said: “We were able to chat with them about cycling in Aberdeen and investment in cycling infrastructure.”
Many of the cyclists had taken part in a rally ride from Hazlehead Park along Queen’s Road, Albyn Place and Union Street.
Jyll said: “We had around 105 who left Hazlehead and others joined in at points along the way.”
The Forum arranged the event to coincide with the Edinburgh cycle ride Pedal on Parliament (PoP), which campaigns for more to be done to make it easier and safer to cycle.
