Fortnite is giving fans a chance to earn the next monthly Battle Pass for free, ahead of the popular game’s eighth season.
Battle Pass enables players of the hit survival game to unlock more rewards by completing weekly challenges, paying 950 V-Bucks, Fortnite’s in-game currency, which would cost £7.99 when buying a 1,000 V-Buck pack.
With the current season coming to a close in two weeks and the end of its latest 10-week challenge, the game tends to get a bit quieter, so to fill the gap, developers Epic Games have set up 13 free Overtime Challenges to complete by February 27.
Those who complete them will receive the Battle Pass for season eight free of charge, which will provide users with two outfits instantly and the opportunity to earn a further five.
“With the arrival of Valentine’s Day, we’re here to share one more surprise,” the company said in patch notes for its v7.40 update.
Fortnite is also bringing back its gifting option until February 22, and will provide a free Heartspan Glider that can be sent to a special someone on Valentine’s Day.
