Tickets expected to sell fast for Aberdeen’s biggest Enjoy festival yet

The first batch of day tickets for a popular Aberdeen music festival will go on sale tomorrow.

The Enjoy Music Festival, which will take place at Hazlehead Park on June 1 and 2, will feature performances by Cast and Starsailor plus DJ sets from Faithless and Basement Jaxx.

Weekend tickets sold fast when they went on sale last week, but now the first day tickets are being released.

Mark Lenthall, marketing director at Enjoy Music, said: “We are expecting the tickets to sell out fast.

“We have had a good reaction from the public to our weekend tickets.”

The event’s headliners were announced more than a week ago, with Faithless and Cast appearing on Friday and Starsailor and Basement Jaxx on Saturday.

More acts have yet to be disclosed.

Festival boss Russell Aitchison said: “I am proud that this year’s event features some of the best British rock and dance music.”

Enjoy Music’s expansion from one to two days should also help attract even more fans than the previous years.

Russell said: “We are going to be running across a Friday and a Saturday for the first time, making this year’s festival our biggest and boldest yet.”

Since its launch in 2015, Enjoy Music has not stopped expanding.

Last year 6,000 fans attended to watch rock legends Primal Scream and top dance act Chase & Status – almost double the number of festival-goers in 2016.

Russell predicts this year’s festival will be “an incredible weekend, in the heart of Aberdeen”.

Festival-goers will also be able to enjoy street food, theme bars, trade stands and entertainers.

There will also be a kids zone so parents and children can enjoy the day together.
