Some days there’s nothing better than getting your teeth stuck into a good old sandwich.
It was the tasty aromas of passing So… Aberdeen that led me right into the busy eatery.
Grabbing a window seat, I scanned the menu and immediately knew what I wanted.
A lover of barbecue sauce I ordered the BBQ Chicken So…Boy toastie. Loaded with succulent Southern fried chicken fillets, shredded iceberg lettuce, Pitboss BBQ ketchup, garlic aoili, melted mozzarella and a big handful of pickles, it was brilliant.
My boyfriend opted for one of his favourites, The Cuban – a massive square sandwich filled to the brim with delicious salami, thick slices of cured ham, Swiss cheese, a big dollop of hotdog mustard, chunky pickles and dill mayonnaise.
The mustard and dill mayonnaise complimented one another excellently and really brought out the flavours of the meats. The bread wasn’t too thick and soaked up the sauces easily.
We then shared a very rich, gooey, gluten-free chocolate brownie which went down a treat.
