Entries are now open for the Great Aberdeen Run.
Returning to the city for its third year, the event will take place on August 25 next year.
Around 5,000 people are expected to take part in the event which comprises a 10k, family run and half marathon.
The traffic-free routes will start and finish on Union Street and take in the modern and historic areas of the city including Castlegate, the Beach Ballroom and Brig O’Balgownie.
The half marathon also includes a section through Seaton Park before heading past St Machar’s Cathedral and along the cobbled streets of Old Aberdeen.
