One male and one female have been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a crash on a North-east road.
The collision happened on the A937 just a half mile north of Marykirk at 6.20pm. The road is currently closed while the cars are recovered.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were called to the scene of a two vehicle RTC on the A937 just north of Marykirk. Police and Ambulance are in attendance and two people were taken to hospital.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Services were also called to the scene of the two vehicle crash.
A spokeswoman added: “A male from one car and a female from the second car were freed.
“We have two appliances from Montrose at the scene of the collision and another from Brechin due to arrive.”
