The stakes were high but Mr P secured the Wrestlezone Tri-Counties title by defeating holder Zach Dynamite – on his 40th birthday.
Ahead of the Christmas Chaos title showdown at Danestone Community Centre, the fans’ favourite confirmed he would retire from wrestling if he did not lift the title belt.
He put his career on the line in a bid to bring an extra edge to the clash and it worked as he defeated Dynamite to secure his first singles title.
In an enthralling no disqualification Christmas Brawl match Mr P triumphed despite the interference of Bradley Evans who was helping Dynamite from the sides.
Undisputed Wrestlezone champion Damien retained his title by triumphing in a triple threat match with Crusher Craib and three-time Insane Championship Wrestling World Heavyweight title holder BT Gunn.
In another title match Wrestlezone Tag Team title holders The Kings of Catch (Aspen Faith and Lewis Girvan) beat the team of Scotty Swift and Johnny Lions to retain their belts.
Former Wrestlezone Tag Team championship holders The Rejected defeated the new partnership of Andy Wild and Alan Sterling.
After the match, Sterling slapped Wild twice in the face.
That prompted a furious Wild to challenge former Sterling Oil grappler Sterling to a bout at Summerhill Showdown at the Best Western Summerhill Hotel on Saturday January 19.
There was an unexpected appearance of former Wrestlezone Undisputed champion Shaun Johnson who was in the audience at Christmas Chaos.
Jason Reed defeated Ryan Riley but after the bout challenged Johnson who was defeated at Aberdeen Anarchy on September 1 in the Undisputed championship match by Damien in a cage match at the Beach Ballroom.
Johnson responded by entering the ring – however, Reed and his lackey Agent W then hit the former champ with a cheap shot.
The Outfit (Dino Del Monte and Ted O’Keefe) defeated Blue Thunder and Kaden Garrick.
Later on in the evening Blue Thunder reunited with William Sterling, formerly of Sterling Oil which were forced to disband following defeat at Aberdeen Anarchy.
It was also confirmed that Wrestlezone will begin 2019 with a bang with NXT UK star Wolfgang competing at Summerhill Showdown.
Wolfgang has been blazing a trail in the NXT UK brand and is being tipped to become their next championship holder.
During a successful career Wolfgang has secured a host of titles including the ICW World heavyweight title. He is also a two-time Premier British Wrestling (PBW) heavyweight champion. Securing Wolfgang for Summerhill Showdown is a major coup for Wrestlezone.
