ABERDEEN’S Paul Lawrie was set to resume his bid to win a second Open Championship later today.
Lawrie was two shots off the lead at the halfway-stage when weather disrupted the 2015 Open at St Andrews.
The 1999 champion followed his opening round of 66 with a 70 to sit on eight under-par, well within touching distance of overnight leader Dustin Johnston.
He was to start his third round, partnered by Marc Warren, at 14.50pm.
The Open will finish on Monday for only the second time in its history because of high winds and heavy rain halting play over the first two days.
