Aberdeen Lynx today unveiled their new playing kit.
The new gear, complete with the branding of new sponsors Petrolink, is to get its first outing in tonight’s clash against Paisley Pirates.
Lynx vice-chairman John Colley said: “It’s fantastic to have Petrolink on board at what we understand is a challenging time for the oil and gas industry.
“This partnership is not just about getting a company name on a shirt – in fact, during our discussions there has been a real focus on development of the sport and the junior side of the club.
“It is very refreshing to see a sponsor supporting the local community in this way and the entire club are extremely grateful.”
Petrolink spokesman Andrew Maxwell added: “We’re pleased to be in a position to lend support to the club, especially when many companies in our position wouldn’t be able to do that.
“What attracted us to the Lynx is their focus on youth development – they start developing players from four years onwards.
“We think it’s important for youth, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to have opportunities to participate in sport.”
The kit is planned to be in use tonight.
The Lynx face-off against the Pirates at 7.15pm.
Fans are asked to be aware of the road restrictions in place due to the fireworks display at Aberdeen Beach.
