Wrestlezone’s Bryan Tucker has branded Crusher Craib as Sterling Oil’s “lapdog” and vowed to end a 10-year wait for victory over his rival.
Tucker and Craib – aka The Creator of Carnage – will go head to head in a “dog collar” match at Inverurie Town hall tonight.
It is the latest step on the way to the Aberdeen Anarchy super-show at the Beach Ballroom on Saturday September 1.
The “dog collar” bout will see the bitter rivals attached by a 10-foot chain.
Tucker said: “For a decade, I have battled with Crusher Craib but I’ve never quite managed to upset the giant.
“But, for me, what he has become is quite sad.
“He used to be a monster who would go about his business in such a way that he earned respect from both the fans and fellow wrestlers.
“I’m afraid to say, he is now just a lapdog for Sterling Oil.”
Crusher Craib suffered a horrendous injury in an undisputed title match against Scotty Swift at Aberdeen Anarchy in 2016. He suffered a broken hip socket and underwent lengthy rehabilitation before announcing his return to the ring a year later, at Aberdeen Anarchy 2017.
Craib then controversially linked up with Sterling Oil under the guidance of Richard R Russell.
Tucker said:“Crusher does the business of his friends and has forgotten what made him unstoppable.”
Tucker will be giving away a considerable weight advantage to Craib and admits there will be no escape as the two rivals will be chained together in the ring.
However, former Wrestlezone Undisputed champion Tucker is determined to get that first win over The Creator of Carnage.
Tucker said: “Everyone thinks I’m crazy going into this match where I will be attached by a chain to the beast, but it’s what I have been doing for 10 years.
“I might get knocked down, but Crusher Craib knows I am coming right back up and at him!”
Tonight’s action is part of the build up to Aberdeen Anarchy, which will celebrate a decade of Wrestlezone. WWE legends Chavo Guerrero and Santino Marella have been confirmed for Aberdeen Anarchy.
Topping the bill at the Beach Ballroom on September 1 is an undisputed title showdown between defending champion Shawn Johnson and Damien in a steel cage match. Both were team-mates in Sterling Oil until Damien left the organisation last year.
Since then number one contender Damien has had a bitter feud with his former team and it will reach an exciting climax at Aberdeen Anarchy.
Tucker, who has been involved in Wrestlezone since its inception, said: “ “A decade ago there was no wrestling in the north-east.
“Now Wrestlezone bring family-friendly action to towns across the area. We are very proud of what we have achieved.
“Of course, all the wrestlers have eyes on Aberdeen Anarchy X, which is shaping up to be the biggest night of our lives.
“But I have to focus on right now and Crusher Craib represents a huge obstacle to overcome and that’s what I intend to do tonight, even if I am in real danger of getting hurt.”
At Inverurie tonight there will be six-man tag-team action as Damien teams up with Johnny Lions and Scotty Swift to take on the Sterling Brothers and Shawn Johnson.
In a wildcard tag-team clash, Mr P teams up with Andy Wild to face Zach Dynamite and Nathan North.
Jason Reed will face Kaden Garrick and The Outfit face holders The Rejected for the Wrestlezone Tag Team championship belt. Richard R Russell will go up against Cysto 2.
