Aberdeen super-bantamweight Kristen Fraser will tonight look to extend her winning professional record.
The 29-year-old has won her first two pro fights and will face Marie Romero at the Hilton Treetops.
Fraser is a trailblazer as Scotland’s first professional women boxer. In recognition of her achievements, Fraser has been nominated for a Scottish Women’s Award 2017.
The Granite City ABC ring star has been nominated for services to sport alongside athletes such as Eilidh Doyle (athletics), Eve Muirhead (curling) and Kim Little (football).
The winner will be announced at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow on Wednesday.
Fraser said: “It is great to be nominated for the Scottish Women’s Award.
“I will be alongside athletes such as Eilidh Doyle, who is a top Olympian.
“To be recognised with those athletes at such a high profile event – I am over the moon.”
Before that awards event Fraser will look to despatch Romero.
She said: “I am undefeated and hopefully it stays like that. I have been training hard for this fight.
“Hilton Treetops is a great venue and I am excited to go back as you really feel the atmosphere.”
