Peterhead failed to win the League Two title after Stirling Albion’s stoppage time equaliser.
The Blue Toon were on course to get the championship after Jack Leitch’s first half opener, but sub Peter McDonald struck with virtually the last kick of the ball to level it.
Clyde’s 3-0 win against Queen’s Park means the Buchan side will need to beat the Spiders next Saturday at Hampden.
The home side started brightly as they looked for an early goal in front of a crowd of 1371.
Stirling keeper Callum Ferrie had to dive bravely at the feet of Leitch to stop him knocking in a Jason Brown cross from the right side of the area.
Ryan Dow had an effort that bobbled wide after a promising run and delivery from Rory McAllister and Dow also had a curling shot from 20 yards held by Ferrie.
The only moment of note for Stirling was a break down the left by Darren Smith, which was halted by Jamie Stevenson’s sliding tackle.
Finally the breakthrough arrived for Peterhead on 37 minutes. A misplaced pass in field from Stirling left-back Cammy Thomson was seized upon by Leitch.
The midfielder drove forward 30 yards and slipped in McAllister on the left side of the box.
McAllister could have shot but instead rolled the ball across for Leitch to knock the ball home from six yards.
After the break a second goal would have taken the pressure off the Blue Toon.
They went close in the early stages of the half. Stevenson’s cross found Leitch, put his shot on the turn went inches wide.
McAllister also flicked a header wide after another Stevenson cross from the left.
With 20 minutes left sub Shane Sutherland volleyed Scott Brown’s cross from the right over the bar from only three yards.
There was no second goal for Peterhead and in the third minute of injury time Darren Smith got clear down the left and his low cutback was knocked in at the near post by McDonald
