But on the half hour the Buchan side got the breakthrough they deserved when Jack Leitch cross from the left, Russell McLean nodded across goal and Robertson knocked it home from close range.
Daniel Jardine passed up a fine chance to equalise for Albion early in the second period. He controlled a Ross Kavanagh cross but shot just wide from close range.
Just before the hour Robertson almost had a second but his header from a Gibson corner was knocked off the line.
