BOSS Derek McInnes today challenged the Dons to go all the way and claim League Cup glory at Hampden this season.
Aberdeen were tonight set to face Championship side Hibs in the third round at Easter Road.
McInnes led Aberdeen to League Cup success in 2014 but is desperate to write more silverware history.
The Reds go into tonight’s tie having won their opening eight league fixtures to top the Premiership table.
However, McInnes is taking nothing for granted at lower league Hibs and will field his strongest possible starting 11 in a bid to kick-start the road to Hampden.
He said: “We go into the League Cup with the demand to go all the way.
“We are one of a number of clubs who put pressure on ourselves to do well in this cup.
“In the four cup competitions we have been involved in we have managed three semis, with one final which we won.
“Now we go into the fifth cup tournament and want to try to get to another final and be 90 minutes away from a trophy.”
