Peterhead manager Jim McInally says it would be a “no brainer” to extend Ryan Dow’s loan deal.
The midfielder’s loan with the Blue Toon from Ross County is set to run until January.
McInally has been impressed with the contribution Dow – who is his son-in-law – has made at Balmoor so far.
Since joining the Buchan side in September the 27-year-old has helped Peterhead reach the top of League Two.
And they are currently on a run of seven wins in a row.
McInally would be keen to keep Dow with the Blue Toon for the rest of season.
He said: “It would be a no brainer for us, but at the moment I don’t know what Ryan is thinking.
“And I don’t know what Ross County will be thinking about it.
“We’ll have to wait until nearer the time to see what happens, but at our end we would want it to happen.”
McInally has been pleased with what Dow has added to his team and still believes there is more to come from the former Dundee United man.
McInally added: “Ryan has added to what we already had in our squad. We’ve got a lot of good players.
“I think he still has a little bit to go in terms of what he can give us because he had a little break with a niggle.
“So he has still to get right up to speed in terms of where he wants to be.
“But the impact he has made already has been really good and hopefully we can get even more out of him.”
