Fraserburgh are delighted after it was announced their rearranged Scottish Cup tie with Rangers will be shown live on Sky Sports.
After Sunday’s clash at Bellslea was postponed due a frozen pitch it was not known if Sky would return to show the fourth-round clash on Wednesday, January 31.
However, they have confirmed the game will be beamed live in a week’s time with kick-off at 7.30pm.
The news has been welcomed by Broch officials.
Club director Jason Nicol said: “We’re over the moon, it means an awful lot for the exposure the town is going to get and we’re just delighted. “We’re thrilled they’re coming back and we’ve actually struck up a fantastic relationship with the Sky guys.
“It’s not just the people in front of the camera, it’s everyone else behind the scenes.”
The money the Highland League side will receive because it is being broadcast live is a boost to the club.
It will cost them around £15,000 to have the game at Bellslea and they expect to receive around £32,000 from Sky.
Nicol added: “I leave the money worries to the other directors, but this is a major injection of cash for a club like ours.
“But for me it’s more about adding to the occasion.”
