DONS defender Mark Reynolds admits he would love to finally make his debut for Scotland tonight.
Reynolds is in the squad for Scotland’s friendly against Qatar at Easter Road.
Grant Hanley being ruled out by injury has moved Reynoldsup the pecking order of Scotland’s defenders.
He admits it would mean the world to finally get his first full cap for his country.
Reynolds said: “It’s good getting called into the squad.
“It’s a bit of recognition for your form at club level.
“It’s nice to be involved, but it would be great to get on the park and just get that elusive first cap.
“It has been frustrating.
“You look at previous Scotland squads and you see guys coming in and out and people getting caps left, right and centre.
“Nigeria last year was my first call-up and I’ve been in three or four squads since then.
“It’s great getting a front-row seat and training with the guys, but it’s frustrating not getting the game time.
“ Hopefully it will come.
“I haven’t spoken to the manager.
“He speaks in general about having a long-term goal and everybody working towards that.
“I know he’s happy with me being here and he’s happy with the way I’m training and playing or I wouldn’t be back.
“Hopefully, if I’m here long enough, I’ll manage to sneak on in one of these games.”
