Peterhead pulled off a historic victory by beating Premiership Hearts 2-1 in the Betfred Cup.
The Blue Toon scored a last minute penalty to secure all three points which now gives them a chance of reaching the knockout stages of the League Cup for a second year running.
Rory McAllister scored the decisive goal after substitute Jordan Brown was fouled in the box by Arnauld Djoum.
Peterhead opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a bullet header from defender Jason Brown following a corner from Willie Gibson.
Hearts got back into the game shortly after on the 17th minute when former Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty flicked the ball home from six yards. It came after some good work down the right side by Jamie Walker who played in Michael Smith who crossed for the Jambos number nine who slotted home.
The rest of the first half was a tension affair with both teams having chances to take the lead.
However the lead wasn’t taken until the 89th minute of the game when Rory McAllister calmly slotted home from the penalty spot to give Hearts stopper Jack Hamilton no chance.
Peterhead will now play Elgin City on Saturday with the chance to go through to the next stage of the competition.
