Banks o’ Dee co-manager Tommy Forbes was delighted after his side thrashed Turriff United 6-0 in the Aberdeenshire Shield.
Jack Henderson got a brace for the Junior side, with Lachie McLeod, Michael Philipson, Dean Lawrie and Alan White also on target. The victory at Spain Park sets Dee up for a semi final against Fraserburgh.
Forbes, who is joint-boss alongside Jamie Watt, said: “I thought it was a great performance from start to finish – we bossed the game.
“We were 1-0 up at half-time but it could have been more, with their goalie making two or three great saves.
“We got the second goal early in the second half and then kicked on.
“Some of our play was a joy to watch and 6-0 didn’t flatter us because we bossed the game.”
In the other Shield quarter final Buckie Thistle beat Keith 4-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Macaulay Rae’s own goal had the Jags ahead before Max Berton levelled for the Maroons, but Buckie won it in the shoot-out.
Meanwhile, in the Highland League Brora Rangers moved up to third after beating Nairn County 4-0 at Station Park.
Fort William and Clachnacuddin drew 3-3.
