Inverurie Locos see off Wick to finish strongly

Inverurie Locos finished their season on a high with a 3-1 win over Wick Academy.

A double from Chris Angus and one from Martin Laing saw off the Scorries, who scored through Michael Steven at Harmsworth Park.

Locos are second with 78 points but Formartine United could overhaul them.

United beat Fort William 6-0 with Scott Barbour bagging a hat-trick. Graeme Rodger, Connor Gethins and Andrew Greig also scored.

Paul Lawson’s side have three games left and are eight behind Locos.

Fraserburgh dropped to fifth, three points behind Forres Mechanics in fourth.

Willie West netted for the Broch but a Jordan MacRae hat-trick gave Nairn a 3-1 win at Station Park.

The Can-Cans beat Turriff 2-1 at the Haughs with Andy MacRae and Stuart Soane scoring and David Ross replying.

Gary McGowan, Cammy Booth and Ryan McRitchie scored as Huntly beat Rothes 3-0. Buckie Thistle beat Lossiemouth 6-0.

Deveronvale and Clach drew 3-3 at Grant Street Park and Keith beat Strathspey 3-2.
