Scott Barbour wants to fire Formartine to Highland League Cup glory to complete his cup collection.
The Pitmedden side travel to face Strathspey tomorrow in the first round.
Just a week on from facing Premiership club Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup, it is another competition for Formartine to contend with.
And for Barbour, it is another chance to complete a cup clean sweep in the North-east.
He won the Aberdeenshire Cup and the Aberdeenshire Shield with Fraserburgh before signing for Formartine in 2015.
But the 25-year-old is particularly keen to get his hands of the trophy for a competition he values highly.
He said: “It’s the Highland League Cup, so everybody is in it. I’ve won the Aberdeenshire Shield and the Aberdeenshire Cup but this is every team in the league, so it’s a big one.
“We were unlucky last year when we got knocked out on penalties by Brora, and we just want to move on in this and keep challenging in the league.”
Barbour is keen for the team to get back on track after last week’s 4-0 defeat at Firhill in the Scottish Cup fourth round – but he knows it won’t be easy.
Strathspey took a surprise point off Cove Rangers last weekend and will be looking to get their first win since September, a period spanning 17 games.
But the forward expects Formartine to show their intent and do everything they can to win the competition.
And Barbour is keen to try.
He said: “We just want to get back to winning ways and we want to win this cup.
“I haven’t won it myself but I’m hoping to win it, we’ve got a good draw.
“It’s something I’m desperate to win.”
