Inverurie Locos midfielder Stuart Duff is delighted to have that winning feeling again.
Former Dons and Dundee United star Duff helped Locos beat Clach 4-1 at Harlaw Park in one of the few Highland League matches to survive the heavy rain at the weekend.
Jordan Leyden and Neil McLean scored two each in what was Locos’ first win since Duff joined them from Cove Rangers at the turn of the year.
“Hopefully this will be the start of a good run of results for us,” said Duff.
“It has been a bit frustrating not getting the wins we felt our play merited in the last few weeks,” continued Duff, who played at centre-back in the second half.
David Ross and Neil Davidson scored as Turriff United won 2-1 away to Nairn County.
Dane Ballard bagged the winner three minutes from time as Deveronvale beat Keith 3-2.
Sean Webb and Gary McGowan were on target in Huntly’s 2-0 victory at Strathspey.
The top-of-the-table clashes, Brora v Formartine United and Fraserburgh v Buckie Thistle, were called off because of waterlogged parks.
Formartine were already in Brora when their match was postponed an hour before kick-off. United boss Kris Hunter, pictured, said: “It was frustrating but it was the right decision.
“The conditions were horrendous so there is no way the game could have gone ahead.”
The Forres v Cove Rangers clash in the Highland League Cup was also washed out.
It will take place tomorrow night.
