Cove Rangers manager John Sheran was delighted as they proved far too strong for Turriff United and won 5-1 at Harlaw Park.
Doubles from Harry Milne and Jamie Masson as well as a strike from Dan Park won it for the Aberdeen outfit with Cammy Bowden grabbing a late consolation for Turra.
Sheran said: “It was a very enjoyable performance and we’re delighted to have played so well and got the three points.
“We have had some issues against Turriff in the past but I thought our players were really well disciplined and focused. “The play in the first half-an-hour was probably as good as I’ve seen from a Cove team
so it was pleasing and we kept it going. We didn’t just play for half-an-hour and stop and we could have had a few more in the second half.”
The result keeps Cove top of the table with 25 points from a possible 27.
