Boss Mark Cowie branded Fraserburgh’s win over Brora Rangers as “massive”.

The Broch won 2-1 at Bellslea against the Cattachs.

After trailing to Craig Campbell’s goal, Paul Young equalised before half-time. After the break Ryan Christie netted the winner following Colin Williamson’s sending off.

Cowie said: “It’s a massive result, it keeps us going because we’ve had a tough start with Cove and Brora in the first four games. Over the piece we deserved it.

“Brora came flying at us early on and they could have been two or three up in the first 20 minutes.

“We struggled to adapt to the pace they played at, but once we weathered that storm we grew into the game.

“We started the second half well and they had a man sent off and we scored from the free-kick.

“We saw the game out at 2-1, we snuffed out the danger and managed it well to win.

“I don’t think Brora had much after they went down to 10 men.

“It’s a massive result against a team that look to be back to what they were two or three years ago when they dominated.”

Elsewhere Angus Grant (4), Michael Ewen (2), Ross Anderson, Owen Cairns, Mauro Jesus and Michael Ironside scored for Turriff beat Fort William 10-0.

Huntly won 4-0 against Strathspey Thistle with a brace from Ryan McRitchie, a Chris Innes own goal and a Matthew McDonald effort.

Grant Noble and Dane Ballard netted as Deveronvale beat Wick 2-0 at Harmsworth Park.

Cammy Keith’s late double helped Keith come from behind to win 2-1 against Rothes.

Forres beat Nairn 4-1 while Clach edged out Lossiemouth 1-0.
