Buckie Thistle boss Graeme Stewart believes new signings Scott Adams and Sam Robertson will “excite” the club’s fans.
Central midfielder Adams and winger Robertson have both signed pre-contract agreements with the Jags.
They will put pen to paper on three-year-deals once contracts with their current clubs expire.
Adams, 21, will move to Victoria Park from Peterhead while Robertson, 20, will leave Cove Rangers to join Stewart’s team.
He said: “They’ve both been on loan to us, Scott twice and Sam last season, so it’s players we know. “I tend to do that if I can, sign players that we know.
“We can’t afford to make too many mistakes with signings so we do our homework.
“They are two I know and I know they’ll fit into our squad well and they like the club.
“That was massively important and the fans will get a buzz because these are two players who have the ability to play at a higher level.
“They’re quick, exciting, skillful and talented. Scott is 21 and Sam is 20.
“I think they are very good players now but they are still five or six years away from hitting their peak. They will score and create goals.
“When we lost Kevin Fraser, Sam Urquhart and John McLeod last season, that was where we struggled a bit.
“With these guys coming in it’s exciting for the club and the fans.”
Stewart is keen on at least one more signing before the start of the new season and added: “We saw last year we needed to get a bit more youth in the team.
“We moved on some of the older guys who were good players.
“These two are two of the fittest guys I’ve seen and they will come in and give us energy.
“That was something we were lacking at times last season where I felt we were a bit one-paced.”
