FORMARTINE United have completed the signing of former Aberdeen midfielder Jamie Masson on a short-term deal.
The 22-year-old, who has penned a contract until January, was a free agent after being released by the Dons in May.
The Fraserburgh-born player made 11 appearances in total for Aberdeen, scoring once, after first making his debut away to Dunfermline in April 2012.
However, his last senior appearance for the Dons came against Hearts in May 2013, after spending the past two seasons out on loan at Elgin City and then Brechin City.
Formartine boss Kris Hunter said he was delighted to sign the combative midfielder, who could make his debut away to Clachnacuddin tomorrow.
“We feel the move is mutually beneficial,” Hunter said.
“We are getting a player at Premiership level last season and we are offering Jamie the chance to get his career back on track.
“He is desperate to play, and I am sure he will do well for us.”
