St Johnstone have been granted permission by Aberdeen to open up talks with attacker Miles Storey.
The 23-year-old has failed to cement a regular first team start since signing a two-year deal from Swindon Town last summer.
Storey made 18 appearances last season, with just two starts, and scored one goal.
It is understood any deal, whether permanent or loan, will not be sanctioned while Aberdeen are still battling to reach the Europa League group stages.
Partick Thistle and Kilmarnock are also interested in Storey, who netted 13 goals in the season 2015/16 season while on loan at Inverness Caley Thistle.
