THE Dons today claimed they are confident veteran midfielder Barry Robson will be fit for their Premiership clash with Ross County at Pittodrie.
There were concerns Robson, pictured, had suffered a serious ankle injury during their 5-2 SPFL Development League defeat by Rangers at Brechin City’s Glebe Park.
Robson had to be helped from the pitch in the first half after getting injured by a late tackle.
With skipper Ryan Jack already set to miss Saturday’s clash with County because of an ankle problem, the Dons could ill afford to see Robson stuck on the treatment table too.
But Dons Under-20 boss Paul Sheerin confirmed the injury isn’t as serious as they originally thought.
“Barry should be okay for the weekend,” said Sheerin.
“Taking him off immediately was just precautionary.”
