Rangers have appealed the red card shown to striker Alfredo Morelos during the 1-1 draw with Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
The Ibrox side submitted an appeal to the Scottish FA yesterday afternoon.
Should it be successful, Morelos would be available to face St Mirren at the weekend.
If not, a two-game will be issued to the attacker, meaning he will also miss Rangers’ League Cup game with Kilmarnock on August 19.
Kevin Clancy dismissed Morelos after he appeared to kick out at Dons defender Scott McKenna after the pair collided on 11 minutes.
The incident looked to be brought to Clancy’s attention by one of his assistants.
Meanwhile, ex-Reds captain Ryan Jack is to undergo concussion tests after landing awkwardly following a challenge from striker Stevie May, which could rule him out of the Europa League qualifier with Maribor on Thursday.
