Dons boss Derek McInnes has confirmed midfielder Kenny McLean has suggested he will leave Pittodrie in the summer.
McInnes said: “Kenny has indicated he’s leaving at the end of the season and I’m grateful he’s been upfront.
“Kenny’s been hugely influential and will continue to be a key player for the rest of the campaign. He’s loving his time here.”
Ex-St Mirren player McLean, who McInnes signed for £300,000 in 2015, is in the last year of his deal with Aberdeen and will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January.
In June, Rangers had a £300,000 bid rejected for the 25-year-old.
McLean has made 11 appearances for the Dons this season, scoring twice.
