Dons boss Derek McInnes admits he’s delighted they are on course to secure a European spot again.
The top three sides in the Scottish Premiership are guaranteed spots in next season’s Euro tournaments.
The champions will go into the Champions League qualifiers, with sides finishing second and third entering the qualifying rounds of the Europa League.
With 12 Premiership games to go, Aberdeen are a healthy 19 points clear of fourth-placed Ross County and have a game in hand.
St Johnstone, who visit Pittodrie on Saturday, and Dundee are also well in their wake as the league campaign moves into the final weeks.
The Dons could clinch their Euro spot well before the league splits at the end of April.
McInnes said: “It’s not something we have mentioned to the players much so far, but we will now.”
