DONS keeper Jamie Langfield will be given a testimonial this year.
Aberdeen FC will take on Brighton & Hove Albion at Pittodrie on Sunday, July 26 to mark the goalie’s decade with the club.
Langfield joined the Reds in 2005 and has made more than 300 appearances. His performances for the Dons have earned him call-ups to the Scotland national team on a number of occasions.
He said. “My family and I are delighted that I have received this tremendous honour.
“I have been very fortunate to spend the best years of my career with such a fantastic club and I believe 2015/16 will be another excellent season for the team.”
Chairman of The Jamie Langfield Testimonial Committee, Ian McIntosh, added. “I am delighted that the club have agreed to our request to honour Jamie’s decade of service to the club.
“The game against Brighton & Hove Albion will be the first of three planned events to include a dinner and golf day.
“Jamie has been a player who has always given his all to the club and this testimonial is a fitting reward.”
Brighton’s squad includes Scotland international Gordon Greer and former Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal.
