THE odds on Aberdeen FC making it to the Europa League group stages have been slashed after their 3-0 away victory at HNK Rijeka.
The Dons won 3-0 in Croatia in the first-leg last night to all but seal their passage to the third qualifying round of the tournament.
Scottish bookmakers McBookie are offering odds of 5/2 that they can make it.
The Dons will face either Kazakhstan’s FC Kairat Almaty or Armenia’s Alashkert FC in the third qualifying round.
Meanwhile, Celtic can be backed at 5/6 to make the group stages of the Champions League after they beat Icelandic side Stjarnan 2-0.
McBookie.com are also offering 11/2 that both teams will make it to the group stages of the Champions League and Europa League respectively.
Paul Petrie, McBookie.com spokesman said: “Both Celtic and Aberdeen will be happy enough with their draws and have every opportunity of making it closer to the group stages. We think Celtic have the better chance but if Aberdeen can play like they did last night then they will also fancy their chances.”
To make group stages: 5/2 – Aberdeen, 5/6 – Celtic, 11/2 – both teams
