Aberdeen keeper Neil Alexander looks set to leave Pittodrie at the end of the season due to lack of game time.
The former Scotland, Hearts and Rangers stopper’s contract is up at the end of the campaign.
The 39-year-old penned a one year deal last summer but has yet to make a first team appearance for the Reds, with Joe Lewis being No.1 choice all season.
Alexander said: “I am driving from Glasgow to Aberdeen every day to train then sit on the bench on a Saturday.
“It’s not worked out the way I thought it would.
“I have to give a lot of credit to Joe Lewis. He has been superb this season and one of our most consistent performers.
“I can’t have any complaints about not playing as he has been doing the business week in, week out.”
