A man has appeared in court charged in connection with an incident where a digger crashed into a North-east sheltered housing complex.
Gregor Durno, 30, appeared in private at Elgin Sheriff Court charged over the incident on Buckie’s Land Street on Sunday.
Police had been called to the scene at around 5am following the crash.
Durno, of Buckie, is facing charges of dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
He is also accused of taking a vehicle without authority, failing to stop and give details after an accident, failing to identify a driver, and driving without insurance.
Durno is also facing charges under the animal welfare act and firearms act.
During the hearing he made no plea, the case against him was committed for further examination, and he was released on bail.
